Bumble Bee, Jewelry Dish with Sparkling Artichoke Leaf
Bumble bees are the focused, productive, and patient presence among the plants and flowers. They are the sign of a thriving and harmonious garden. This cute little bumble bee is sculpted by hand, busy at work among beautiful impressions of real leaves on this high fired ceramic jewelry dish. This bumble bee is a "realistic" version of a bumble bee. Accents of real gold make the dish sparkle.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze is a glossy soft clear. The piece is imprinted with actual artichoke leaves from my garden (aren't they amazing?), and then hand-painted with shades of green and purple underglazes. Accents of real 22kt gold are fired onto the dish in a special process for ceramics.
Measurements: Approximately 5 inches wide
Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art.
