Bluebird of Happiness jewelry dish, Ceramic dish with mint sprig and bluebird
“Keep a green bough in your heart and the singing bird will come.” This jewelry dish features the bluebird, a symbol of hope and happiness since ancient times. The bluebird’s appearance is said to be an omen of good things to come. And yes the bluebird does have its own song.
The plant used to create this dish is mint. Mint symbolizes personal strength, protection, wisdom, and truth. Keep these things green in your heart, and the singing bird will come.
This ceramic jewelry holder is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and kiln-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. A real mint sprig used to make the imprint for the branch, and the tiny bluebird is sculpted by hand and then painted by hand. The glaze is a glossy warm white. Real 22kt gold details are hand painted and then fired onto the piece in a special process for ceramics.
This jewelry and ring holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio, a labor of love that I hope will bring a sparkle of joy into your home.
