Pink Hydrangea Jewelry Dish with Gold
Hydrangeas are a symbol of sincere heartfelt love and gratitude. Hydrangea is a summer garden showpiece, and the leaves and flowers of hydrangea have a beautiful form that is captured in this ceramic dish.
This ceramic jewelry holder is covered with hydrangea leaves and a cluster of soft pink flowers. Handmade from start to finish, using flowers from my own garden, this dish creates a special spot for your rings, earrings, other jewelry, or incense cones.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The flowers are imprinted from an actual hydrangea flowers from my garden and then handpainted with shades of very soft pink. The glazed surface is a soft glossy finish.
Real 22kt gold is applied to the rim in a special process designed for ceramics, and the piece is fired a third time to bond the gold. It's a labor intensive process with a beautiful result.

Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art.
