Autumn Maple Leaf Ceramic Jewelry Dish, Colorful Fall Leaf with Gold Accent
As autumn leaves fall gracefully with gorgeous colors, they remind us that leaves are a powerful symbol of renewal. This jewelry is inspired by the incredible beauty of a single Maple leaf, full of intricate detail and unique as a fingerprint. This piece is created with the intricate imprint of an actual Maple leaf, handcrafted, glazed and fired in my studio. Rings, jewelry, trinkets, or incense cones can be placed in this holder.
This ceramic leaf dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. A real leaf is imprinted onto the clay which is then hand painted in the style of watercolor painting and fired in the kiln. The glazed finish is a soft satin gloss over the vibrant colors of the leaf. A 22kt real gold overglaze is applied to the rim and then fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece.
This jewelry holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio, a labor of love that I hope will spark joy in your home.
Measurements: Approximately 5 inches wide
Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art. Each leaf is an individual painting and they will all vary like actual autumn leaves.
