Tiny Bunny with Lemon Clover, Ceramic Jewelry Dish with Real Gold
Besides good luck and good fortune, the rabbit symbolizes renewal and new beginnings (coming from the rabbit's appearance in springtime). The white rabbit is specifically associated with new spiritual beginnings, the release of old fears, and the welcoming of hope and possibilities. Here the little bunny is paired with wood sorrel, also called lemon clover or shamrock clover. Although often considered a weed in lawns, wood sorrel is a favorite of bees, butterflies, and wild bunnies.
This bunny jewelry dish is one of a kind art piece - handcrafted, glazed and fired in my studio. A tiny bunny sculpture sits among the imprints of delicate heart-shaped leaves and gold, creating a peaceful little spot for your treasures, trinkets, and incense cones.
This jewelry dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The ceramic dish is imprinted with a real fern frond from my garden, and the bunny is sculpted by hand. The piece is then handpainted with stains and underglazes to accent the beautiful textures. The dish is then glazed and fired in the kiln. Real 22kt gold is applied and the dish is then fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece. The glazed finish is a glossy warm white, with beautiful natural variations found in a high fired finish.
This jewelry and incense holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio, a labor of love that I hope will bring light and joy into your home.
Measurements: Approximately 5 inches wide
Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art.
