White Wolf Howling at the Moon Jewelry Holder, Ceramic Dish with WHITE Gold Accents
The wolf howling at the moon represents a powerful connection to nature. Few things capture the spirituality of night more than a wolf howling up at a full moon. Wolves are admirable in their courage, intelligence, bond to one another, and ability to survive. This ceramic jewelry holder is covered with a handpainted forest scene and sculpted full moon. This design is one of the few that has silver accents instead of yellow gold (the silver is actually real 22kt white gold). The white gold gives a sparkle to the scene bathed in moonlight. Handmade from start to finish, it creates a special spot for your rings, earrings, or other jewelry.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and kiln-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze is a glossy soft clear. The botanical patterns are imprinted from actual fern leaves and hand-painted to accent the incredible detail. The wolf and full moon are both sculpted by hand.
Real white gold is applied to the ceramic dish in a special process designed for ceramics, and the piece is fired a third time to bond the gold. It's a labor intensive process with a beautiful result.
