Woodland Home Ceramic Dish, Tiny Forest House with Gold Accents
This tiny house is nestled cozily in a twinkling forest. Real 22kt gold accents the dish and the rim, giving this moonlit forest extra sparkle. A tiny path through the woods leads to the red-roofed home and tiny tree. Handmade from start to finish, creating a special spot for your rings, earrings, or other jewelry.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze is a glossy soft clear. The botanical patterns are imprinted from actual dusty miller leaves and hand-painted with shades of green underglazes. The house and tree are sculpted by hand - please take a look at the tiny details including the textured roof and tiny chimney.
Real gold is applied to the ceramic dish in a special process designed for ceramics, and the piece is fired a third time to bond the gold. It's a labor intensive process with a beautiful result.
